Hi, my name is Alex and I am a bassist and composer, based in Northamptonshire, England. Starting out with music as a hobby, since 2019 I have gained a lot of experience in both performing and composing, working on many projects ranging from live performances to studio recordings. My live performance experience includes venues as well as festival events in Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire and continues to grow. In 2024, I graduated from the University of Northampton with a BA in music performance, gaining a lot of valuable experience and networking along the way.
With over 10 years of bass playing experience, I have become a very versatile player, having experience in many different styles and genres including rock, pop, funk and jazz as well as many techniques that are common in these styles. Whether it’s live performance, session work, or collaborating with other musicians in songwriting, my focus is to play a part that both supports and enhances the overall sound of the piece, with a tone that is appropriate for the style.
As a composer, my primary focus lies in creating original music for media. My music has many stylistic influences, including electronic music such as synthwave, ambient, and lo-fi, as well as influence from progressive rock, math rock and jazz. I can cover a large range of styles and moods with my compositions and have the versatility to create music that fits all sorts of projects and media. I also offer custom arrangement services, turning your ideas into fully realised compositions tailored to your specific needs.
